Strip Diagram and Multi-Step Review and Test Prep Stations resource includes 15+ pages and 4 different activities/stations. All the activities/pages in this resource are standards based and STAAR aligned. From task cards, to games, to drawing, and word problems, this product should NOT disappoint! It is perfect to teach the concept or REVIEW it as well.

(If you live in Texas, the TEK is: 4.5A- Represent multi-step problems involving the four operations with whole numbers using strip diagrams and equations with a letter standing for the unknown quantity. )

Stations:

*Reach for the Stars: Task Cards. These can be completed individually, in partners, small groups, or as a whole group.  Answer Key included. Printable and Digital Versions included.

*Strip Diagram Spin-a-Problem Game: This is meant for partners, small groups, or stations. (It will take a bit of time to fully complete)

-There are TWO levels: Level 1- Deals with numbers in the hundreds.

Level 2– Deals with numbers in the ten thousands and thousands.

The point of this game is for each player to spin the spinner. Whatever color it lands on, the students must create a word problem and strip diagram with those numbers. Every player does every spin, and they check each other’s answers. Points are given, and the player with the most point at the end of the game WINS! You can also use as an extension activity, or where you partner up different ability levels.

*Exit Tickets- Printable and Digital versions included. Answer Key provided. For the exit tickets, the students have to read the word problem, come up with an equation, a strip diagram, and provide a solution sentence.

*Match UP!- Students will cut out the word problem and the strip diagram models and paste the ones that match together on a separate sheet of paper. Then, on the solution sheet, students will solve for the problem and show their work.- Printable and Digital versions included. Answer key provided.
