Why is English so hard? Activity- There is a separate PowerPoint presentation that is included with this resource so that this activity can be done whole group. Important concepts are within this fun/silly activity. (A hard copy of this activity is also included.)
A choral reading activity to practice voice inflection and how to read certain sentences with specific punctuation.
A punctuation chart- this chart comes in color and black and white. It gives a picture example of different types of punctuation, the name, the definition, and the specific punctuation being used correctly in a sentence.

Punctuated Sentences- Differentiated at Level 1 and 2- The students will write sentences with the instructed type of punctuation. Printable AND digital versions.
Proper Punctuation- 1st-3rd grade level: Students will put the correct end punctuation on the sentences. Answer key provided. Come in both printable and digital versions.
Comma Practice Task Cards or pages: 3rd-5th grade level: Students will rewrite the sentences correctly adding commas where they belong.
Leave it Out Activity: Students free write for a given amount of time…with only ONE rule. DO NOT USE ANY PUNCTUATION. Afterwards, a group or small group discussion on the importance of using correct punctuation.
