Announcing our SECOND “A Creative Cookie Spotlight”…. Sasha Mitten- Rainbow Sprinkle Studio

For those of you who do not know who Sasha Mitten is, you will want to RUN to TPT and buy ALL the things…AND be her best friend immediately after reading this blog.

She is the talented woman behind the Rainbow Sprinkle Studio on TPT. Her clipart is absolutely AMAZING, and you can almost find anything you need clipart wise once you go through all of her products. As a matter of fact, I love them so much, I have to budget myself on purchases from her store each month! Ha!

More about Sasha Mitten:

Where is she from:

Sasha Mitten- Rainbow Sprinkle Studio lives in Connecticut, but part of her heart will always be in New York City where she lived for 10 years and where she met her husband! She loves being close enough to take the train in – for her,  it’s the best of both worlds 🙂

A bit about her family:

She met her husband Jack while playing charades one night in NYC. He is super supportive of her TPT business – he helps a lot with the numbers and data side of things which is not Sasha’s strength 🙂

They have two wonderful kids – Taylor (7) and Ben (3). Her sweet children help her all the time with her clipart – telling  her what looks cute (and what doesn’t haha), choosing their favorites colors, etc.

Sasha’s background and experience:

She worked as a social worker with kids for ten years before going full time with her TPT business – She’s worked with all grades, but her last five years of work were at an elementary school, and she really loves that age group. She’s extremely grateful for that time- She considers it a gift to do counseling with kids. She also took a lot of the work home emotionally (…and actual paperwork) and wanted something that was more flexible for being a mom. While she loved her time at the schools , however, she is very grateful to be able to create clipart full time now!

Her niche and audience:

She creates the CUTEST and FUN clipart for elementary school teachers and TPT sellers. (Including ME, Kristen) She usually creates her clipart with TPT sellers in mind – imagining how they could use it in the products they create. But there are also a lot of teachers who buy from her to use clipart in their classrooms and in activities they make for their students.

Her passion and current goal for herself:

She is a  big-time dreamer, so she’s always creating new goals for herself and her business. She has one or two that she’s working on now that she hopes to see to fruition this year! Her overarching goal is always to serve teachers and TPT sellers in a way that helps them engage students and build their businesses…and always with love and fun.

Empowering students (and adults!) to follow their creative passions (if they want to!) She’s a very optimistic person, and she loves brainstorming ideas and possibilities. She thinks everyone is creative and lots of people have ideas they daydream about but feel maybe a little nervous to pursue. She has felt this many times, and loves supporting others who want to bring their daydreams out into the real world.

What she likes to do for fun:

She loves to do crafts, read books, dance, listen to 90s music, go into NYC, and hang out in coffee shops. She could spend hours in Trader Joe’s (big fan) and spending time with friends and family.

An interesting fact about Sasha:

Uniquely, she taught herself how to make clipart – mostly through Youtube and Google and lots of trial and error! 🙂 In addition, her non-clipart related fact is she is obsessed with romantic comedies and hope to write one someday.

Not only is Sasha passionate about what she does, she is truly in it to support and do what she can to show care and root others on.
