First, there is a teacher direction page that gives the answer to the first writing prompt, explains some of the art activities, as well as other optional suggestions for National Dot Day.
An opportunity for students to write to two different prompts using their creative thinking skills, and their higher-level thinking skills.
8 task cards that can be used independently, in partners, in small groups, or whole group. Within these task cards students are given the opportunity to answer questions by reflecting back on the text. They analyze how the character changed from the beginning of the story to the end. Students will come up with the theme or message of the story and list character traits of the main character. They even get to come up with a different ending to the story, and more!
Additionally, there are eight different optional art activities that you can incorporate with your students. These activities come differentiated for students of all ages. (Literally Kindergarten through high school.) These art activities are perfect for stations, or the teacher can choose one or two to do with the class. They allow for each student’s creativity and imagination to run WILD!
And finally, a coloring page!
