Design a New Book Cover – Students create their own cover for Snippets. geometry portion makes this resource especially useful for cross-curricular learning. Students don’t just identify shapes—they sort regular and irregular polygons and then use those polygons to create an original piece of art. The accompanying reflection asks students to analyze the polygons they used and even give their creation character traits. The activity reinforces the message that, just like each student’s creation, everyone is unique and special in their own way.
